Back online but VERY busy…check out AMFPHP
Finally got back online and my computer also had some issues but I think I've fixed them now. Windows system restore actually worked, who'da thunk it?
Anyway. I will be writing about some really nifty stuff I've been working and learning soon. I don't want my blog to get stale...and I have a LOT of notes that I need to take so I can remember things and reference stuff. Cool tool of the month: amfphp http://www.amfphp.org - Flash remoting for PHP. It's way cool and is being used in the project I'm currently working on for a Flash/HTML/PHP/Javascript/MySQL CMS wow it's a lot of languages and features all wrapped up into a flexible package...that is when it's done.
There is a really cool Star Bucks music web site done with amfphp and aside from loading a TON of images (which takes way too long) it's actually a VERY powerful feature and a very good job done with amfphp for an Ajax search and shopping cart.
My uses for amfphp are going to be more from a content management point of view but nonetheless this little piece of overlooked technology deserves a mention. Now I gotta learn some more Flash
