iPhone Price Drops Along With Loyal Fans Pants
Wow. What a shattering disappointment the other day when the "great" one, Steve Jobs, announces a price cut. He prances around on stage like a little fairy too and the talks (at least the coverage by engadget) make it all look like a hokey gospel show/infomercial. "We're not selling it for $600, not even $500, no folks it's now $400 isn't that amazing?!" -- Cheering -- As if there was some sort of red light and signs being held up to applaude at certain times. Give me a break.
You know what he's thinking all the while? "I'm rich, rich rich! These morons are buying this stuff for way too much!" As every iPhone buyer bends over...
So proof. More proof. As if other facts like buying RAM from somewhere else rather than as an upgrade from Apple wasn't already a big obvious one. Many people probably don't...They probably spend the hundreds of dollars more. RAM is easy to install, but even if you don't know how, pay someone to do it at a local shop. Note to people out there buying Apple computers (laptops specifically). Buy your extra ram from newegg.com or elsewhere.
Note to people who bought the iPhone. It's nothing special, I have a smart phone that does the SAME things (with Picsel browser, yes the same exact thing in terms of zooming into a web page). It was simply never worth $600 and you should have researched that fact. Though I'm sorry you paid that much.
Smart phones have existed for years and the iPhone IS a smart phone. There is nothing revolutionary and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The parts, the processor, the capabilities. Market value? Maybe $400 without any contracts. With contracts, $100-$200.
PERIOD. End of story. Now that Apple came back to planet Earth, maybe it is time to get an iPhone. Oh wait...you can't choose your carrier. I'm not saying it's bad. I would get an iPhone if it wasn't obnoxiously overpriced. In a heartbeat. Also if I used crappy Cingular/AT&T...but where's the contract discount? I want that $200 iPhone damnit! Guess I'll wait around another couple months, you never know.

We live in a throw away society of consumer whorism.

Hey, um… you know I use AT&T&C right? Just because you Verizon folk can talk in subways and don’t get static doesn’t mean we’re crappy…
