Minerva's power comes from simplicity and intuition. Minerva is not like using a broadsword for a medical operation, it is a finely tuned piece of equipment. The problem with most content management systems is that they are made too complex. What may be simple for one person, isn't necessarily as simple for the next. Make no mistake, this is not how Tungsten Design operates, but this is not an uncommon practice...We've seen it. You know, we worked for other design firms before starting Tungsten Design. While Tungsten Design always ensures both parties are on the same page when it comes to what is provided and what isn't...and while Tungsten Design also offers the most competitive rates and likes to give clients the power of control over their site, many other designers don't.
Still, traditional web site design (even if it contains content management) by Tungsten Design or any other company will take more time and cost a considerable amount of money up front. Minerva works in a very different way than most content management systems. The most common way of editing an article through a normal CMS is by logging in and then going to a administrative page (or back-end) and then choosing an article to edit from a list, which takes more time. There are logical connections your mind makes when filling content into a space. For example, when you write on a piece of paper you know when you will run out of room or need another sheet.
Most normal CMS don't show you where your copy is going, so you have to remember. With Minerva, you can see how everything is fitting and how content works together while you are editing.
