Visual Arts Press

There was much work done for the School of VISUAL ARTS during my internship for the Visual Arts Press. I had the pleasure of working in not only print but also web design (be sure to check out that section). The print work involved mainly gallery exhibition announcement postcards which offered typographical challenges of originality and limitation as many cards were only one or two color jobs.

Student Work

The following is selected work completed during my education at SVA. I have reservations about student work, personally, because it can sometimes be "dream work" that might end up being too costly in a real world situation. This is not to say that we should curb our creativity though. The other reason is because you're desigining for a designer who has a certain sense of style and not a real client that could be less inclined or unpredictable. However, it is from education that we get our roots and it is extremely valuable to remember them.
